SamY Vision Auto-locating Satellite Dish for Motorhomes & Caravans
Product Description
Admittedly, a holiday trip should offer more interesting thrills than watching TV. However, at times you may feel like relaxing in front of the TV and then you deserve total ease of control. The best TV show is only half the fun if you have to balance on the roof top or struggle through the pages of a user manual. Most of all, poor reception quality may quickly spoil your good holiday mood. Watching TV while travelling can be as convenient as at home.
SamY Satellite Features:
Digital satellite search
Receiver-independent
User-friendly control unit
System is mounted on ball bearings
Weather-proof design
Automatic retraction at vehicle start
High-quality craftsmanship with 3 year warranty.
Can be used to receive Optus D1 (Freeview, Sky + Australian SBS) + Optus D2 (foreign & religious)
LEM technology: Last Elevation Memory for reduced search times (antenna searches at the elevation angle of last reception)
Operating Panel
The fully automatic control centre located inside your vehicle is full of intelligent software. At the touch of a button, the antenna moves into the last reception position (LEM). If no image is received in this position, the automatic search function is started immediately. The illuminated display keeps you informed about the various functions. Special functions (e.g. a satellite swap or manual search), can be started by pressing one of the few and easily comprehensible buttons. The additional control unit (see picture) contains the complete system electronics and can be mounted out of sight in a storage compartment.
Durable materials
All external components are constructed from stainless steel, aviation grade aluminium and modern UV and weather resistant plastics specifically designed for exterior use.
Satellite reception
The Samy satellite dish has a large 54cm oval reflector plate. This offers amazing reception, almost zero rain fade and allows you to view extra TV channels not usually available to motorhome owners. Usually Optus D1 is the satellite of choice (it broadcast the Freeview + SKY + the Australian SBS channels). The user friendly control panel lets you select other satellites to lock onto (e.g. Optus D2). Optus D2 broadcast approx. 48 free channels (mostly foreign & religious) and a few pay channels.

Review by TIZ US (Posted on 1/12/11)better then I expected.
I was told that this was the best of them all and as always I thought a lot of that was sales talk. Well I can now say they told me the facts and they did not lie. I decided to give it a go because while not the most expensive on the market or the cheapest they seemed to be pretty good. I was wrong, they are great. i have used it for the last 2 months travelling around the country and not once has it let me down. I have been sitting there watching TV in a storm that had both heavy rain and wind, not once did it fail. All the others around me had no signal or had to put there dish down due to the strong wind. i park, push one button and it just works. It is quiet and fast too. it is nice being able to eliminate the hassles i have had in the past. It does look good too. Thank you for finally bringing something to the market that gives the best of everything, not over priced and so fantastic. I highly recomend this unit to anyone in the market for a sat dish that always works.
