The surface mounted Eberspacher digital controller with integrated room temperature sensor has a range of features. These include simple ON/OFF switching, digital display of set point and ambient temperatures, system diagnostic code readout, ventilation switching option, LED indication of Heating on (green) and ventilation on (blue).
A 7 Day Programmable Controller is available as an upgrade however it isn't as simple to use as the standard 'digital controller'.

Q) I want to install this heater in a caravan. Do I have to get a diesel tank made up?
A) In vehicles without existing diesel tank (petrol vehicles or caravans) a seperate fuel tank in needed. You could get one made up but the most common practise is to use a 'red' outboard fuel tank, the type used in boating. They come in a range of sizes, small enough to be positioned in a locker.

I have just fitted D2 to my VW van. It heats up the entire van much quicker than I expected. Its not offen that I find something really well let alone better than expected. I'm very happy with the purchase and demo given to us by RV World. Regards Darren. -

I fitted one of these units to our Mitsubishi Canter Cabover to replace a gas heater, and have no regrets. My wife is always telling me to turn the heat down, it's that good. Living in Southland you need an efficient heater, and you would not find a better type. We sleep with it set down to approx 16 deg at night with no worries. I wouldn't leave gas heating going at night. Also good to know you can drive in winter with the heater left on.
The unit is straight forward to fit, you just have to plan it out before you start.

We have the Eberspacher D2 Airtronic diesel heater. So far we are very happy with it. We were concerned about battery drain and noise, but it only uses 2-3 amps while up and running and the noise did not cause us any problems.
